FestivalOh my goodness, what an incredibly eventful weekend. So- Act2 participated in the annual Michigan State Thespian Festival. We rocked it. LOVE! I did an Individual Event and received an 'Excellent' in Solo Musical Theatre. Not so good as last year, but that was duets, and the grading is based on a few different things. I'm still relatively happy with it- nobody from our company received a 'Superior', which is really abnormal, but that's okay. Carola received THREE scholarships, which is incredible.
Anyway. Midsummer went interestingly. Apparently people claimed that we were better than "Lend Me a Tenor" (WHOAH!) Act 1 was okay, you could tell that we were all really super duper nervous. The second act though: AMAZING. The fight scene has never gone so well... ever. I was ecstatic.
I ended up not going to any of the workshops, simply because we were setting up for the shows or watching IEs, so that was kind of unfortunate, but I think it was definitely worth it. I'm hopefully going to International Thespian Festival this year- apparently juniors can go audition for different colleges. EXCITED!
I fell asleep on the ride home after getting kind of worked up about some stuff.. It was really cold too hahahaha. It happens.
We had to unload stuff today- twas good. It didn't take long at all. I have sooooo much Essay & Analysis homework this weekend.. UGGGG. Yay for writing gazillions of logs about "Lord of the Flies". At least it's more interesting than the entire first quarter that we spent on "Old Man and the Sea".
